Dorian has been going to pre-k a few days a week. He loves playing with his friends and learning new things. He has really advanced academically, he can count to over 100, recognize and write all the letters, perfected writing his name(the correct way with only the first letter uppercase), and is now sounding out words and recognizing common ones to where he can read his pre-k/ kinder books all the way through. He surprises us everyday with his insight on life and is always asking questions yearning to know everything. He is very social-able with other kids and does not hesitate to join in playing with a group he meets on the playground. But he is still careful and purposeful in who he becomes best buds with. If another kid isn't good at communicating or isn't playing fairly he will voice his opinion and will find somebody else to play with!=) He is starting Kindergarten this Fall and I couldn't be more confident in our decision, even while the trend to "wait another year" is becoming more common. He started swimming lessons again this spring and even though the first week made us question if he retained all the skills he had learned the previous summer, something clicked after that week and he showed us and the teachers what he could do and is now quickly making even more progress. He can float on his front and back for 10 seconds, hold his breath far too long for my comfort, torpedo kick swim, and has his own style of freestyle ,or "big arms" as he calls it, that successfully gets him from his teacher to the side of the pool. When I leave the agenda of the whole day up to him he likes to watch his morning cartoons, maybe get out of his pajamas around lunch time, spend a few hours at "a park I have never been too yet"(as he says), go on a walk with daddy to get a special treat after dinner, and end the night back in jammies while we have "movie night" with popcorn and all the lights out.=)

Kailey is two and far from terrible. She is, I must say, a little drama queen though. She knows she is the baby and uses it to her benefit! She has her mama's fine, curly hair that is getting blonder. She also has my blue eyes and my hands. Everything else looks like Johnny! She has his exact head and face shape. Same eyes, mouth, skin, and profile....She is beautiful!! I love that both our kids look different but have a mix of both of us. Back to Kailey.. She loves following Dorian around and tries to do everything he does. She loves to color in her coloring books and all over herself.=) She loves her blanky and her paci still, which I know the time is coming to say goodbye to the paci but thats something she is just not ready to give up. When she is tired or upset she will find her paci and blanky and she instantly feels better and calms down. Who wouldn't have a hard time giving that up! She knows to go to daddy if mama says no, usually when candy is involved, and after daddy gives in she gives me this look like, haha mama. She isn't talking as much as she should be but she gets her point across and is learning new words every day. She is very girly, shy, loves to snuggle, and loves to eat small frequent meals(which means i'm either in the kitchen getting her a snack or I make sure to pack a lot before we leave the house). She is still an amazing sleeper and sleeps 11-12 hours a night and takes a 2.5/3 hour nap during the day. She is very tiny, but very tall. Her hair has perfect ringlets but when her hair is wet or you pull a ringlet straight her hair goes to her lower back.
Well there's the update on the kiddos, I will try to start putting up more pictures throughout the month even if I don't do an update. Here are some pictures from May when we went to Carmel, Mother's day/6th anniversary, and beach trips.
