A peek at his 14th month, and Halloween!

Dorian is such a little fireball. He is now running around, and doesn't like to be slowed down. When he takes a nap, that is usually my time to get some things done, but lately I have been taking that time to sit down and take some selfish, but much deserved, quiet me time. On the weekend during Dorian's nap time when we are at home, me and Johnny like to take that couple of hours to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie straight through, without having to rewind it several times to see what we missed when we were interrupted by Dorian who decided it was "look at me" time for him. =) We don't complain ever though, he is such a blast, and he really reminds us on how to use our child like imagination again when he makes us have a conversation with Elmo on his play phone.
It is becoming a lot easier to to know what he is thinking now with his improving communication. When I give him his cup and he doesn't want it he pushes it away and says "no.....done".=) it's so funny, I sometimes offer it again just to hear him say it again. In one of his picture books I will ask him where different things are and he will point at them and try to repeat what they are. And when he hurts himself and is crying, instead of me having no idea that he bumped his head, or pinched a finger..he will now point and hold whatever is hurting, and tries to use his words. His 15 month doctor check up is on the 14th, so we'll see how much he has grown. At his last appointment, which was is 12 month check up, he was 24 lbs, but I can't think at the top of my head his height, but I'm sure that is what has changed the most.
Here are a few of his Halloween pictures. We had him paint some pumpkins, which was fun. And we went trick or treating to a few houses of people we knew, it was so cute seeing him walk up to the door holding his little pumpkin bucket, in his dog costume.
